The Honey Series extends the Lifeline series drawings (ink on paper) to different materials (varnishes), medium (plywood) and size (218 cm x 153 cm). It further deepens the research on the line as a guiding principle of drawing with the use of large scale drawings where lines are made with transparent varnish. Time keeps being the central concept underlying these works.
Different types of transparent varnishes are overlapped to create compositions emphasizing the relationship between what is visible and invisible, factual and imagined. What stands between the visibility of the gesture and the invisibility of the materials. We are left with reflexes and textures plus the interaction of the overlapping layers.
